So far the only working method is force stop HardwareStubService from settings-apps-click three dots top right-show system-search for 'stub' then select the stub service and force stop. Although cpu usage problm happens again when you install an app but repeating the above step again solves it. Better than the tedious adb method.
There has to be an update regarding the battery issue we are facing after the latest update , I would also request to please make this update battery focused not only fixing this problem , also help in improving battery life as it was of A9 , not exactly like it was but somehow better than what we getting even before this update. Ik pushing security updates n all will make it tough to only focus on this issue , but as of now when there is being an update regarding battery I would geuinely request you guys to make this battery centric update . Pleaseeeee :) Thankyou .
It's "SystemPanel 2". After installation follow the instruction for advanced features to unlock it (use the ADB instructions, not the zip file they use)
Starting tonight, we're pushing a new FOTA which adresses the recent CPU usage issues. Users who already updated to 2009.47 will be first in line to receive the new update, with more being added from there. I want to thank many of you in this thread for providing us with valuable information these last couple of days.
I'm temporarily closing the thread so this post does not get buried. I'll reopen it tomorrow so we can continue the discussion after people have started getting the FOTA.
I've got IT!!! Hurray!!! Updated few apps on Play Store, and cpu constantly at 826-1.06ghz. However, battery life still bad compare to what I used to get on A9. I thought A10 was suppose to be better in battery optimization? A quick question, Is it because of ASUS UI or A10 isn't as "battery optimized" as claimed?
So I am 2007.27 firmware ,my battery is good,so if I update to 2009.49 will my battery get drained due to Google Play services?@Sourabh@Averan so can I just go for the update or do you want me to stay until playstore resolves battery drain.note: I don't want my battery to drain like hell
Stay tuned...will update you about the issue as it gets resolved, then you can go for the new update. Power consumption currently is not so severe, if u want you can go for the new update and Google Play Store and Google Play Services updates itself in background, so have to wait for the change.

I could go up to two days without charging the phone, even with bluetooth and GPS always on, using some games and watching videos.
Now, after the update, the battery goes from 100% to less than 10% in less than ten hours.
Asus, I already switched from your ROG laptops to another brand. Do I need to switch to their phone too?
