Guys tried this method, shut down your phone and let it cooldown, if can put it under AC so faster the cooldown then when not hot anymore, try open the phone. It is work for me, but if we download app it will back to 2.96ghz so anyone got any fix method ???
Downgraded to WW-17.0240.2007.27 and bug 100% solved here, after app installs CPU returns to 826MHz normally, so its bug of latest Asus update (related to apk installs, when some Asus process tries to detect new app and crash).
S9+ don't manifest this bug here, even with september security patch.
This is a tricky one also. I have contacted support in the hopes of a fix or some form of resolution because I cant use my phone really, its constantly hot and causing it to restart or the battery only lasts 4 hours if fully charged.
Support are telling me to do a full factory wipe/reset which I think is so stupid. It's not going to fix the issue at all.
Well, actually the reset is probably going to solve the issue since you will lose the latest update (I think) and you will get an older Android 10 version, probably the first one released. After that, you will need to avoid the updates.
In my case, when I update my apps I clear storage and cache from Google Play Services and Armory Crate and reboot my device. Everything backs to normal using this (annoying) ritual...
Let's hope Asus devs doesn't take much time to fix this issue. It's really unacceptable this kind of basic bug...

Did you get your power button fixed? If not please visit service center and get it fixed before warranty runs out...
Screen oleophobic coating is subjective as it can be worn out by many things like heat, friction, etc. You can't blame anyone for this...
Hi could you share how we can downgrade the firmware to the previous one? Thanks. This update killed my phone's battery...
Check out my post in this forum named "A10 TO A9 downgrade".
there is a topic here explaining how to downgrade to Android 9, and after, upgrade to other A10 firmware, download in official Asus site.
didn't fix it
so you gonna do this every time it spikes?. 😆
Yes. LOL
Despite all reports here, Asus post the bugged firmware in their download site and don't suspend OTA.
Tbh with the way software support has been I don't expect a fix for this now until November/December

Sadly it has not resolved it, its just removed all my user settings and apps and start a new but on this bugged firmware.
Edit) This is via hard reset from instructions by support.

I've just been told by Support to RMA the device... like dam...
Enter and exit Armoury Crate trigger the problem as well... One CPU Core remains at 2,97 GHz.
At least the right air trigger issue has been fixed, thanks Asus!
