The main culprit is the google playstore
It's not, it happened after asus's latest update which ruined everything. A9 is giving me more battery life, less bugs and less headaches. I am thinking of sticking to A9 because its super smooth and not many bugs! Shifting to A9 was probably a good call!
Yes...i cant use my phone due to that heat... Even when using normal lite apps..
The problem is that "Google Play Services" and "Google Play" install themselves.
My phone is now totally fine, since I clear cache Armoury Crate, Google Play Services/Store and FOTAService.
my phone stays 67% for man 1 hour and a half (idle).
Just don't open those app for the meantime.
Which version? Recommend me the most stable a9 version
are u on 2009.47 WW? After that play service updated, u dont hv CPU spike after install any app from PlayStore or APK?
Currently using https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/36341/android-10-to-9-downgrade
Check out my post to see how to downgrade, its easy and my phone has been up for 12 hours without shut downs for first time in months.
I suggest people try downgrade because A10 is really shit compared to A9 downgrade. I am sticking to A9 unless asus fix their software and add new features.
As you downgrade, your phone will be laggy for a while but will be ok after an hour of usage :)
How do I stop fota service??
developer option then running process
u need to do this everytime installing app
I have a solution for now..go to settings >search for hardwarestubb services>force stop that package..your device will get to the normal 826 mhz...if you again go for a update through Google playstore or apk package Installer...it will be triggered again...then you have to do the previous process again...that's it for now...bye
He there is no fota service in this
check for update once, it will be trigger...then kill it
Try installing any random app from file manager.
Highly doubtful, I don't think so, infact its due to FpsCentralContr service, which gets triggered during app installations, manual or Google play doesn't matter.
FpsCentralContr Hogging 95% cpu time all the time causing 2.96ghz freqs, which causing heating and drain.
Ps: just writing same thing again, why there no option to pin comments 😅
I agree with you, play store is not culprit as @Gustav_ASUS says
It happens when you install apps
This phone is a big joke...they push updates without testing and then blame others for issue...
heating issue ? It's google play not us
Pubg 90 fps ? It's Tencent not us
Red tint? It's amoled not us
This company is a joke and never buy asus phones again...it's been 9 months and my power button already lost its click sound and it's damaged, screen oleophobic coating worn out,
They already launched rog 3 with NEW FEATURES and abandoned rog 2 ? Why does rog 3 have any new features which rog 2 doesn't..greedy much?
Rog 2 is only like 8 months old since release date ..it's not like it's 2-3 years old..you guys at asus are most disgusting fellow I have seen.... abandoning devices not even a year old and trying to make money off new device...you have Android 10 so late, your hardware is faulty, air triggers are joke and never worked well .the least we ask for is a bug free update ...for god sake...you couldn't even give bug free update and you give updates every 4 months ..
What about promised bimonthly updates? Went to drain..
Will never purchase asus products again..not even pc stuff because you guys don't value customers... Shame on you asus
Now you are talking...👍
