Asus Calling Screen [Annoy Screen]

This app is has more bugs than features. Bugs:
- Heads-up notification doesn't work(even if I enable it)
- Calling screen won't let me to go back to any other app while the phone is ringing.
- Display turns on automatically while on call even if I press power button to turn it off (option to turn off the proximity sensor doesn't work). To make it worse, the proximity sensor on this phone is not in the center.

If you look at a Pixel phone, it will behave exactly the same. So you're either used to another version of android or some other manufacturer that has implemented their own changes to android
Regarding the proximity sensor, I am pretty sure it is a bug with Asus Calling Screen app because, power button should turn off the display while I am on call and shouldn't be turning on the display unless I press the power button again.
Asus really needs to work on the 'Asus Calling Screen' app.
The proximity sensor is supposed to work like you describe so it may be that you have a faulty proximity sensor.
You can test it by accessing our service menu which you can find in the native calculator. You must type .12345+= then you choose single test, scroll down to proximity sensor and follow the instructions
If it was up to me, then I would want it to work exactly like you want it with pop up notification during calls and everything but we're both power users and our developers thinks it's more important that novice users doesn't accidentally press something that will make the call go away. They won't know that they will find the call in the notification drop down if they press the home button. And they might get confused if they accidentally press the power button and can't see the screen.
I know what you're thinking and I agree but some people are useless and we need to make a phone that works for everyone.
I have tried using a 3rd-party(Modified Google phone app) calling screen, but it behaves the same way as the stock calling screen. It's like I can't even use a 3rd party software to satisfy my needs because Asus wants to focus on novice customers!!
The proximity sensor on this phone is not in the center and which makes it more difficult.
I will be more than happy if developers could at least add one option to completely disable the proximity sensor under this settings:

By the end of 2018, ASUS streamlined its mobile phone strategy to focus on two key groups of consumers:
gamers and power users.
With this in mind, the company started planning a revolutionary user experience for its new flagship phone: the ZenFone 6.
This behaviour is non standard in Android World, I haven't met an Android phone that would behave like this.
Please don't dumb down the device aimed for power users like no other one.
Please rectify it and make it standard.
Thank you for escalation this suggestion to your developers.
I'm not gonna accept your developers suggestion or solution. If I press the power button, everyother android phones is completely locks the display until I press again the power button. But in Asus 6z, screen is fully ON even if I press the power button. And I have disabled the Proximity sensor too. Completely dissatisfied with this behaviour. And the proximity sensor also not working properly in the call screen but it works well when I test it. So please update it in the next release, since it is one of the major issue in the mobile device.
Please fix the issues with calling screen app. Just need the app to behave the same way as any other Android phone. It is getting so frustrating.
@Anders_ASUS kindly let the developers know.
We're sending all your feedback to our developers and the decision makers. They have their reasons for the current behavior and they're not going to change their opinion over a day but maybe eventually.
Thank you!
Why you guys not taking this issue as a serious concern. It is not fixed in the Android 10 update too. If I slightly move my phone over the call, it turns on the display even after when I pressed the power button. So the phone getting too hot and I couldn't speak more than 5 minutes, my ears are burning. This is one of the major bug man. The irritating proximity sensor is not working properly. Atleast try to fix the power button issue. Other wise I never gonna buy any Asus brand item in my lifetime. This is serious note.
Requirement : If I press the power button the call screen should goes off, until I press the power button.

I agree!
I already express my opinion in this thread, but it seems to me that we need to push moderators more to push developers.
Read the 3rd comment by Anders, it clearly says that Asus developers consider this as a feature rather than bug. They think that people are not smart enough to press power button if the display goes off after they press power button during the call. I have not used Asus phones earlier, but as far as I have seen the comments in Play Store, it's always been like this on Asus phones. This is stupid.
@Anders_ASUS @LP_ASUS please look into this. Every other smartphone brand in the market behaves the same way to a power button press during the call. I wonder why Asus developers alone think that their users are not smart enough. If they want to keep it as a feature then at least keep an option for other people to enable power button to keep the display off until pressed again.
Perfectly said.
Hi
We are in dialogue with our devs about this behavior. However I would like to clarify misinformation being spread in here.
"Every other smartphone brand in the market behaves the same way to a power button press during the call. "
OnePlus Android 10 (didnt try on 9) - If user press Power Key during call to turn off the screen - their gesture sensing will still activate it again (lowering the phone up and downfrom the ear).
Huawei - If user press Power Key during call to turn off the screen - their gesture sensing will still activate it again (lowering the phone up and downfrom the ear).
