System Accessing Camera without any need or reason.

The system is accessing phone camera every 2-3 minutes without any need or reason. I thought it was an third party app so I revoked access to all apps. It turned out it was system itself. I had some suspicions so installed an access monitor and it turned out to be true.
Looks Fishy, Should I worry about privacy?
1. My face unlock feature is turned off

Hi mauvin11
Thank you for your asking. Kindly try some at-home troubleshooting tips below:
1. Model Name: Settings>System>About phone
Refer to the link below to check the model name by model no. in the link
https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1014441/
2. Your current firmware version
Settings>System>About Phone>Software information
3. How did you access "Access Log"?
1/2. Refer to the screenshot for Model/Firmware version.
3. Access log was obtained through several applications, one of them is "Safedot". https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aravi.dotpro
@mauvin11
Could you please tell me what is the name of the app you use to monitor these actions?
If you enter to the safe mode, does this situation still exist?
Thank you.
I used an third party app called SafeDot. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aravi.dotpro
I am using an third party application to observe the issue. As an Asus mod you should know that safe mode disables all the third party applications, As a result it is impossible for me to observe the issue in safe mode. Thanks
To use any third party app in safe mode, keep the required app open in background and reeboot to safe mode, now u can find this app in recent tab.

In order to rule out whether it is caused by other software abnormalities, it is recommended to restore the system before confirming.
Before restoring the system, please back up important internal data to an external storage device.
Then go to Settings>System>Reset Options>Clear all data (restore original factory settings)
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
You want me to Format my phone for this? That's your Job to figure things out! Asus is paying you, Not me. Fix this issue or I should say Stop Spying On Users. I will wait few days and if not fixed then i'll mail the Logs as well as screenshots to Newsapers, Bloggers and Youtubers.
@mauvin11
Our tech team has confirmed that we may need log files (error messages) in your phone for investigating the issue.
If you agree to provide the logs, I will send you the steps to collect logs.
Thank you.
Send the steps to me also.
Yes. I can help you get the logs. Explain me the procedure.
@Falcon_ASUS here we have one more users with the same issue. This plague has infected every device. Having very limited technical knowledge @abhaykrishnan02 was able to get camera logs (he too included his screenshot above) without any hassle. Just download any camera access detector and you'll have the required data. Hope asus's technical experts understand this better than us (users).
The app you are talking about shows a green dot on the top of your display while camera is being used by an app, right ?
I was not using my device from last 3 hrs but my camera was used by google.
Yes a green dot in the left or right side on the top of screen.
Please mention the name of the app which you are using...

Lemme see what happens in my device...

I have forwarded your report to the relevant department. If there is any update, I will update and reply to you immediately. Thank you.
The "Smart screen on" feature uses the camera from time to time to check whether the user is looking at the screen or not. That's why the system is using the camera, and the SafeDot is keeping the log. Just turn off the feature and you are good to go. And no need to worry about this, you can keep this on if you want.
To turn off = Settings-> Display-> Advanced-> Smart screen on (Turn this off if you want to)
I don't know why on earth are these moderators for😒
