Hi @FiREPLAY , no offense, just tested on my own device. changing refresh rate to Auto, save. open the game, close the game, go back to AC. turn back to system default, save. Through the process, cannot replicate your bug and CPU spike
-
-
Asus is so unlucky? At least 2 of your updates on ROG phones hit the same day of the bug. Previous one hitted the Facebook CPU bug, this one hit Google Play Store bug. Just want to check anyone didn't update also hitted the bug? or only trigger this…

我試了21.0.47 (原本的), 21.0.50, 22.0.18 也是這樣

can try my workaround though it's a bit annoying. When you see CPU spike, kill process "FOTAService" (if already killed before, start it again by "System" -> "System Update", then kill it again) This work for me
-
i've also tried latest version 22.0.18...still the same...but i cannot go back to version 21 now😅
-
nice one, which version should we downgrade to? Thanks
-
haha, but now is not throttling, it spikes CPU lol any advice from them coz we've clear data for Play Service and Play Store already
-
Very interesting and weird. After i stop FOTAService, CPU back to normal. Then I try to install something from Play Store, it spikes CPU again. Then I manually open System -> System Update (it will trigger FOTAService process again). Then kill th…

Then while CPU spiking, i close FOTAService process. It resume normal again. Are there some linking between Play Service and FOTAService?
-
i did this clean Armory crate and play service trick It works UNTIL i click update on app from Google playstore you can try to search for update from Playstore, then update it, it will back to full CPU again Thanks
-
CPU keep normal UNTIL i click "update" on that pending update app. CPU sticks at 2.96Ghz again
-

Updated Google Playstore 21.9.50 from APKMIRROR. Restarted the phone, CPU no spiking. Did once "Check for update" from Playstore but DIDN'T update the app pending, still no spiking. I will check again after an hour, if still no spiking, will try to …

first, i didnt turn on X mode second, well, you didn't update to 2009.47 yet (Armoury Crate changed its interface) or ur Tecent version is not the same as our WW version
-
seems not related to FOTAservice. the CPU is not spiking for an hour, the just now i check and update apps from Playstore. The CPU spikes again
-
I've just turned off FOTAService. CPU not peaking after a while. See how it goes in next few hours

when i start phone at Safe mode, it's back to normal. When I restart back to normal mode, i cannot turn back ON mobile data at first. I need to restart to get mobile data turn back ON. After mobile data ON, it keeps normal for first 15-20mins. I thi…

I will keep update on here: 2 more observation: Under "FOTAService", normally, "DMInstallerService" will appear for just a while. But now it appear all the time From app "CPU Stats", I can see Core 8 is always at 100%. But the reset seems normal

Also, try the Aerocooler trick, try plug that in and see if AirTrigger back to normal
-
Same for me and many people. mods said it will be fixed in coming FOTA this week. For me, when it happens, I try to do "Memory cleanup", then seems back to normal.
