i have broken the screen of my zenfone maxpro m1
but i wish to retrive the data how can i do that
the phone was not rooted (stock phone)
the phones led indicator still works.
when the phone is connected to pc it shows usb device malfunction
but i need to recover my photos .
anyone plese help

How much is the damage done to the screen? Can't you see anything? Touch is working or not?
Besides the USB data transfer, there's an another option you can try but for that, you must have to see whether you can use the touch or not as well as whether you can see through the broken display or not.

Through Asus File manager app, you could access the Internal Storage by using the "PC File Transfer" over home wifi LAN but if the touch is not working then you won't be able to START the PC File Transfer option from within the File Manager app. Since you said the USB connection too is showing connection error then there's no other option is left for you unfortunately.
