File Manager App taking up so much space

Can anyone tell me why the default file manager app is taking up almost 1Gb of internal memory? Any way to reduce its file size?

When you delete files, the files are not deleted immediately and go to the recycling bin. So every time you delete a file, select "delete files permanently" so it doesn't fill the file manager. or you can clear the cache periodically.
