ZenFone 9 randomly restarts

HelpingHand
Rising Star I
Hi all,
I bought an Asus ZenFone 9 from the UK online store. I started to migrate the apps from my old phone to the zf9 and once I finished I started to use my new ZenFone 9 as my main phone. However, I noticed around 3 dso that when i wentato unplug a fter charging the phone it looked as if it has been restarted. I thought it was a software update that somehow just did that so I didn't pay attention but then it repeated again and again every day since.

I started paying attention to it and started trying to disable certain features to see if that made a difference: disabled mobile data, left everything on and now I'm on airplane mode with WiFi on.

I upgraded to the latest version that was pushed some days ago hoping that it would magically solve the issue but... it didn't!

I quick Google Search revealed that sadly this issue is not that uncommon, and has already happened in the UK and Germany to other ZenFone 9 owners.

Is this a hardware problem? Is there a fix or a patch other than simply perform a factory reset and keep seeing the same issue? Can please someone from Asus look into this issue?
Plehank youase tell us some basic information before asking for help:
Model Name: ZenFone 9
Firmware Version: WW_32.2040.2040.23
Rooted or not: no
Frequency of Occurrence: every day
APP Name & APP Version (If your issue relates to the app): not related to an app
In addition to information above, please also provide as much details as you can, e.g., using scenario, what troubleshooting you've already done, screenshot, etc.

Scenario: use the phone as usual, leave the phone idle a few times a day, at some point, when you try to use the phone after it sat idle for some time you'll notice that it had restarted because you'll be asked to enter your password again and about/ status will show an up time of just a few minutes

I have the same problem - Android 12, WW-32.2050.2050.29. In my "ASUSEvtlog.txt" generated by the built-in log tool (Bug reporter), there are entries (6 cases in total) starting after an unsolicited reboot with the string "Last boot reason is [warm]". Unsolicited reboots usually happen at night/early morning. The device is unused by the user at that time and usually in the planned energy saving mode - "Ultra durable" (I am not sure of the correct translation from the Czech language).

File "ASUS_AI2202-32.2050.2050.29-WW-….tar.gz" shared to my Microsoft cloud, file download link is ready to send. However, I don't see any contact (PM/email) for moderator Mansi ASUS.

I am asking the moderator to contact me to send the link.

I just sent back my Zenfone 9 because in the 14 days return policy.
I like the phone. I could probably try another one.
But... Can you guys almost tell if it is a SW or HW problem?

To improve evidences:
- yesterday it happens both under 4G+ or WiFi connection
- dynamic mode battery on
- always no notification on the barr
- not plugged in for recharge
- used the phone all the entire day without any crash or reboot when the phone is in use
I'm not an expert but it's seem connect with "deep sleep" android mode. But again HW or SW?

Good evening, problem with spontaneous restart noted today - unusually for me in the early evening hours - 20:09 (UTC+01:00, Prague). The problem is recorded in full (a few hours before the event / a few minutes after the event) by the built-in log tool (Bug reporter).

A link to the log file generated by the built-in log tool (Bug reporter) will be shared with moderator Mansi_ASUS via private message shortly after I post this message.

Regarding the various conjectures and guesses in the text above as to what is the cause leading to the occurrence of the discussed error, I can only state this:
I haven't been very active with my phone this early evening, one of the few things I did not long before it restarted on its own was to manually start scheduled power saving (settings - battery - battery management - scheduled power saving). For this, I use the Android function automatic energy saving plan - the interval from 19:00 to 10:00 hours, "Ultra durable" mode. However, this power saving system mode did not start automatically at 19:00 today (by the way, this is how the phone often behaves, and I usually have to manually start this power saving system mode at night by briefly switching the on/off switch for this option). About half an hour after this manual intervention to change the system mode, a spontaneous reboot occurred.

The phone is great, let's fix this bug together.

(I apologize for the possible inaccuracy in naming the system menus - I am translating them from the Czech language localization.)
