ZenFone 9 randomly restarts

Hi all,
I bought an Asus ZenFone 9 from the UK online store. I started to migrate the apps from my old phone to the zf9 and once I finished I started to use my new ZenFone 9 as my main phone. However, I noticed around 3 dso that when i wentato unplug a fter charging the phone it looked as if it has been restarted. I thought it was a software update that somehow just did that so I didn't pay attention but then it repeated again and again every day since.

I started paying attention to it and started trying to disable certain features to see if that made a difference: disabled mobile data, left everything on and now I'm on airplane mode with WiFi on.

I upgraded to the latest version that was pushed some days ago hoping that it would magically solve the issue but... it didn't!

I quick Google Search revealed that sadly this issue is not that uncommon, and has already happened in the UK and Germany to other ZenFone 9 owners.

Is this a hardware problem? Is there a fix or a patch other than simply perform a factory reset and keep seeing the same issue? Can please someone from Asus look into this issue?
Plehank youase tell us some basic information before asking for help:
Model Name: ZenFone 9
Firmware Version: WW_32.2040.2040.23
Rooted or not: no
Frequency of Occurrence: every day
APP Name & APP Version (If your issue relates to the app): not related to an app
In addition to information above, please also provide as much details as you can, e.g., using scenario, what troubleshooting you've already done, screenshot, etc.

Scenario: use the phone as usual, leave the phone idle a few times a day, at some point, when you try to use the phone after it sat idle for some time you'll notice that it had restarted because you'll be asked to enter your password again and about/ status will show an up time of just a few minutes

What exactly did you say to get your phone replaced? I sent it out with a link to these messages and got the phone back (without contacting me) with the remark that nothing is wrong with it.

Ok, so now that the origin of the problem is clear, I am in a situation that I have to know what to do. I have opened the bootloader for development purposes, but am experiencing this problem. Even leaving everything factory I have this problem but I don't want to have problems with the warranty as it happened to the users of the zenfone 8 with the motherboards that died suddenly. According to European laws I have the right to be covered by the guarantee, but I need the assurance that it will be so. Can any moderator guide me what to do?

Ok, the problem is HW and the culprit is the motherboard. I contacted my dealer in order to know what I need to do with it. I'm a little bit worried because I had already one HW problem with the screen and I begin to doubt about the overall phone quality... 😡

I'm a Brazilian Zenfone 9 user, i had 2 units the first one I don't remember but the second one i know is 2022/11.

In both units i had already seen the restart indication in the graphic, but i was not aware of this topic, in this unit that I have now, despite indicating a reboot, the time was not reset and I confess that I don't remember if when i woke up it required the password for unlocking. In use, i have never seen it restart in these weeks of use, but on the graph I have seen this ''gap'' more than once, but never resetting the time in activity.

The other unit i returned (and it wasn't due to any defect, just found another cheaper one) also don't remember waking up being forced to enter the password, but i had a reboot after a freeze using the Uber app.

Hello, random reboot has drastically decreased! I managed with background app setting and now I haven't had one reboot since. I don't know if it's a solution...
