Paint chipping on side

I have a black Zenfone 9 with a case, and it has already started chipping particularly near the zentouch button. Anyone else have this issue?

Did it come into contact with keys or a maybe a pebble or sand ? I used to have a Samsung S22, I took pictures at the beach, I guess I had a grain of sand on my hand which got into the otterbox case, I took the case off to clean it a week later l and noticed a grain of sand in the case which caused several scratches on glossy side. So I don't even take my phone out of my pocket at the beach.
