Gallery App Not Responding when playing Videos

Does anyone have issue with Gallery app not responding when playing videos? It only happens when video is played on Photos tab, and not a problem when it's played from Albums tab. The error would happen typically after around 30 seconds of playing videos. It's super annoying since I found it's easier to browse media on Photos tab.

As you can see on the recording, first is playing a 1080p video recorded from phone Camera, then secondly playing a very short mp4, both crashed gallery when opened from Photos. I also noticed it took quite longer before video starts playing after I touch the screen.

On Albums tab, video starts playing almost immediately after I touch the screen, and without any problem.
