Zenfone 8 - like new .. but what todo since no more security patches?(Ex: selling is not an option)

Hi,

As the title suggests, I have a Zenfone 8, and it's working great. I guess I’m one of the lucky ones who hasn’t faced any issues with updates, usage, or battery life. I did experience some battery draining before, but after uninstalling a few apps, everything is running smoothly now.

I’d love to use it the same way I use my Zenfone 10, but the lack of updates makes me wonder what options I have. The bootloader would have been a great solution, but it's no longer available.

Using it exclusively for gaming makes me feel like it's less than just a phone. And as for selling it—why would I, when it’s still a powerful and perfectly functional device?

How can I make it live a bit more without being worried about the security...

If anyone has ideas on how to refresh its usage, I’d love to hear them!

At least ASUS could have like Apple a way to interchange or similar old for new..(any moderator to ask the uppers for this may be?)

thank you for your suggestion, I tried clearing data on Google Play Store, Google Apps and Google Service. But there is no change. I think that's it for Zenfone 8, is your screenshot is from Zenfone 10?

no no the pictures ARE from the Zenfone 8 🙂 200% sure!, I mentioned only the 10 just because in both time to time the google play app seems to misbehave.

Ah I see, apparently yesterday I got the Google Play System updated to the latest, thank you. Still my phone feels like draining its battery too fast, I got max SOT for 6 hrs 42 mins from 100% to 0% with full Wifi.
