What this symbol mean

In my zenfone 8, when i pull down the notification tray. I can see a white dot. What this dot belong to? Or bug?

I would guess it is placeholder for icons that do not fit in the bar since date is placed on the bar. If I remember correctly previously it was below notification bar.
