4.5 to 5 GB of RAM without running application on the screen

My Zenfone 8 runs in dynamic mode with auto refresh rate. From what I saw in Mobile Manager, it consumes 4.5 to 5 GB of RAM in average without any running application on the screen. The smallest number I got was 4.4 GB. Why does it take so much RAM? can it be reduced for the same performance? for the sake of battery life...

With Android, there is no advantage on reducing used memory.

RAM is suppposed to be utilized as much as possible - e.g. for caching. If it is free it is waste for $ paid.
