i also experiencing the same on my zenfone 8 flip which i just got this june 23.. and i also noticed the brightness is not that good.. but still i'm just using 33% brightness.. 60hz refresh rate.. mostly using 2.4ghz wifi.. owned a s21 ultra exynos variant and it more efficient than my zenfone 8 flip which is kind of disappointing..

You have to be a bit more specific than that. Please show us a screenshot of your battery stats in the end of a day.
Also include a screenshot of screen time usage from digital wellbeing as it sometimes reports things that are not included in the battery stats

i use limit charge on my zf8 and i limit my charge to 80% from 20%.. in this screenshot it shows it took only 46min for the battery to come down to 70% from 80% and that's pretty quick with no gaming and camera usage involved.. it does not feel like a 5000 mah battery.. i already updated to the latest version.. other issue i'm seeing is the lack of wipe cache partition in recovery mode..

And from this comment I understand that you limited charge to 80% and the above ss is sot upto 70%
The battery drain curve is different for every phone maybe the Zenfone will last more at some other battery point? Some phones tend to hold 100 to 90 longer and some other phone a different % that's what I mean
If it still drains more try a 100% charge cycle once then try to use the limit feature
