Where did you found that information ? To be sure I just sent a message to asus. If confirmed, I will switch to Lineage of any other ROM supporting the Z7 hardware.

ASUS would never officially announce that its phones are at their EOL, but it's a longtime practice by the company to provide just 2 years of software support for its phone lineups
😔. Also, ASUS has not made a statement like the ones by Samsung, OnePlus, and OPPO to provide 3+ years of SW support in its policy, so... as much as we hope, further official SW support is unlikely -- we might see another security update next year, but that might be it.
A few posts on the ZF6 and ZF5 series SW support received this canned response or something along the line from the ASUS team after the phones had reached a bit more than 2 years of release (the same situation that ZF7 is in now):
Unfortunately, we have not received any related information about this matter [about continued support].
For information on firmware updates, it is recommended to refer to the official update announcements.

If the security patch is one of your major concerns, maybe wait for a few more months to see if there's another security update. If not, it's recommended to either switch to another custom ROM with support or switch to another brand with longer SW support. Otherwise, ZF7 is still a great phone to use.
