Front camera not an option. Icon to change cameras - does not appear in the lower screen. Only wide-angle camera . Also at times get red and blue dots on the screen (approx. 5 mm diameter)
reboot etc does not change the situation

It's probably hardware. There was a case like this once and software solution wasn't found.
EDIT: Of course try to factory reset phone before handing it over to Asus service.
