One hand mode problem with navigation gesture

I used to use Double tap in home button to get the "one hand mode". Now I've updated to Android 10 and changed system navigation from "swipe up home button" to the "navigation gesture", and can't use the double tap because there's no home button!
Is there a workaround? It's this a bug?
How can I use one hand mode WITH navigation gesture?
