I don't think it works, Whenever you tap on that it just says "System optimized" seems just a gimmick !
In Pie atleast it use to show some kind of animation (God knows if that was actually performing in real)

You can tell if it works by checking the amount of ram used before and after you use it, either way it is a gimmick though since on Linux (Android) unused ram is wasted ram, I think Asus only includes the feature because most users want it even though it's a bad idea
