Why do you need this feature? You can already control music with whatever device you are listening to, either wired or wireless. And also you can control music from your lock screen itself or with google assistant.

if you are running, cycling etc and listen music
you can pause/play or next/previous song without see your screen, just push your button (volume button on phone, or button on your earphone)

Fair enough, but its easier to do it through your earphones right rather than fumbling for your phone during activities.
