I'm having similar problem. My Zenfone 5 stays on the battery logo without any changes. If I try to shut it down, it will enter a bootloop and then I need to wait for the phone to die and shut off. I am unsuccessful in being able to enter the recovery mode. My battery is also completely out. When the phone is turned off, and I plug in the charger, the phone enters bootloop. By pressing volume up + power, I am able to enter the CSC Fastboot Mode screen. But I don't think I'm able to do anything there. Any advice?
