Hello,
Since the Zenfone 6 (and later models including Zenfone 7 Pro, 8 Flip, 10, 11, 12, and even a ROG Phone 9 Pro), I have consistently faced connectivity issues where 5G or Wi-Fi suddenly stops working until I manually switch between them.
With Android 15, the situation has become critical due to the new VoWiFi support with French provider Free Mobile. Even when disabled, every 3–4 days calls take over 30 seconds to connect, and incoming calls go straight to voicemail until I restart the phone. When VoWiFi is enabled, it only works for a few hours before failing again, also requiring a restart.
This issue affects multiple devices in my family (Zenfone 10, 11, 12, and ROG Phone 9 Pro). Competing brands on the same Wi-Fi (even low-end Redmi or Samsung) do not have this problem.
I chose Zenfone for its unique features and was willing to pay a premium, but the most basic function of a smartphone—the ability to make and receive calls—must work reliably. For a device in this price range, this situation is unacceptable.
Please confirm:
Best regards,
PS: I take my chance on english zentalk for have any answers about that.

That sounds really frustrating — connectivity issues like that can ruin the experience, especially for online apps and games. I’ve seen similar problems affect real-time platforms like 3 Patti Boss too, where stable 5G or Wi-Fi is crucial for smooth gameplay. Hopefully, Asus rolls out a quick fix soon.

I’m facing the same issue with connectivity and VoWiFi on recent Zenfone models. It’s disappointing that such a basic function remains unreliable for so long. Asus really needs to provide a clear fix or official update timeline.

I just saw that my phone got the Android 16 update. Hopefully it will solve the problems, otherwise I’ll change brands.

Well, that didn’t take long…
Barely 8 hours after rebooting following the Android 16 update, VoWiFi disconnected, and the phone stopped making or receiving calls — even over VoLTE. 😞
The complete silence from Asus support on this post — which has been up for several weeks — is extremely disappointing.
So this marks the end of my journey with Asus smartphones, which began with the Zenfone 3.
