Zenfone 10 (US version)
The finger print scanner seems not to be working on this phone, and I've seen multiple threads on the issue but they all just get locked with no resolution.
The finger print scanner just stops functioning properly after a very short while. Restarts seem to correct the issue for the first few tries, but then it's back to not working. There is no error message when using it, but when it acts up, the "add fingerprint" settings states that it's having trouble reading the finger print. I've had Zenfone 8 and 9 which are (as far as i can tell) the exact same setup and scanner, but those have worked flawlessly. This phone just does not want to read fingerprints. Phone is brand new out of the box, so it's not a dirt issue, hands are clean, issue persists with all fingers.
The add fingerprint feature show's the loading (thumb icon) working excellently for the first maybe 4 presses, showing great reading of the print, then it just falls on it's face stating that it's have trouble reading the fingerprint until a reboot. if i manage to get through the entire "add fingerprint" feature, it almost never works to unlock the phone or for identification. I am using pin and face, but certain apps require fingerprint verification, so this is a problem for me.
