Hello,
After installing the recent keyboard firmware update for my Zenbook Duo 2024, I've noticed that the keyboard backlight appears to be subtly flickering, which is uncomfortable for me as I'm fairly sensitive to this.
Did this update lower the PWM rate or something along those lines? If so, is there a way to change this?
Thanks.

Could you please let me know the full model of the laptop you are using?

I would recommend that you first refer to the following FAQ to reinstall the ASUS System Control Interface driver.

I have an ASUS Zenbook Duo UX8406MA running BIOS 309.
Reinstalling the system control interface driver has not helped. I believe this is an issue with the keyboard firmware itself, as it was just updated.
On another note, I have noticed that the wireless trackpad is less responsive after the update too... And that definitely isn't a driver issue because it happens in all OSes.
Is the original firmware available anywhere so I can compare for sure?
