I cab barely hear my SonicMaster speakers.

The system volume and all app volumes are set to 100%, but I need to be within 12" (.3 meters) to hear them. Any background noise makes it impossible to hear them. Windows 10 64 bit) Settings says they are Realtek speakers and sound driver.
Do I need different drivers?
NO mods made in a 3 weeks I've had this laptop.
