For me, my serial was on the box ROG 2 came in. It was also a sticker on the back of my phone.
If you dont have these, then go to Settings - About Phone - Status
The serial number is there.

After reading your post again, it might not be the serial number youvare looking for :')
Contact the place where you dropped it. For examples, if for repairs, contact your service centre. If you lost your phone, you can do various thing to track your device (if you have then installed and activated in the firt place)
