What update are you talking about? The Google Play System update as shown in the screenshot 3 post above? If so, it will come to your device when it's ready as I believe these are rolled out in batches. There's no alternative way of updating.
However, if you're talking about the 17.0240.2007.27 firmware update, try starting FOTA in Settings - System Update.
Alternatively:
If you are comfortable in doing this yourself, have you tried the manual route by downloading the firmware here:
ROG Phone II BIOS & FIRMWARE | Phone | ASUS GlobalOnce you have downloaded the firmware, just place the zip file in the root directory of Internal Storage. The phone should detect the package.
If you don't feel comfortable, then you should wait for it to turn up in the FOTA app.
