Please tell us some basic information before asking for help:
Model Name: ASUS_I001DE
Firmware Version: WW_17.0240.2007.27
Rooted or not: Not Rooted
Frequency of Occurrence: Always since 2 weeks
APP Name & APP Version (If your issue relates to the app): Google Play Services version 20.30.16 (120400-323885386)

Nearby Share fails to turn on WiFi after tapping 'turn on' on the bottom right corner. Is it something with ZenUI or with Google Play Services?

Manually turning on WiFi from QS or settings works.
P.S. Google Play Services and Google App have every possible permission access granted even WiFi control.

Nearby Share is rolling out in batches to Google users. To check if you have got Nearby Share swipe down the status bar fully. After that tap on the edit option (pen/pencil icon) and in the edit find the Nearby Share tile. Now tap and hold to drag that tile to QS. Tap on the Nearby Share to set it up. If the icon is not visible then wait for few more days till you get nearby share as it is server side roll-out.
