Loss of brightness control

Hello
I was watching something on mxplayer when I noticed that the brightness was not reducing or increasing.. so came to the home screen and tried to change brightness but it didn't work there either.. after which I restarted and the brightness control started working..
I have captured the log with asus tool, if you want to examine it..

You might have another app running in the background that is controlling screen brightness. Is this only happening to you with that particular app?

No other app was controlling the brightness coz when I noticed the issue, I cleared every recent app.... it was an isolated incident.. a restart fixed it.. it has not repeated again.. will report back if it happens again.
