Asus ROG Phone 2 Hanging

My phone is completely frozen, i.e neither the buttons nor the screen is working, It is completely unresponsive.
It's been stuck for about half an hour with absolutely no response. Is there anyway I can fix this?

When you restart your phone, does the issue go away?
If so, everytime you unlock your phone, press the recent apps button (the left side button if you have the Classic navigation setup) and close all apps.
See if that improves your situation.

Once it restarts it's fine.
But it just hung again and it's been stuck for over 30 minutes now

I'm not able to to do anything on the phone. It's just completely frozen and unresponsive to all inputs.
