Asus ROG 2 phone dead

I am based here in South Africa. I have an Asus Rog 2 phone which is not charging and not switching on......just a blank display. I tried contacting Asus South Africa and they told me they don't repair the ROG phones because the ROG phones are not sold in South Africa. They told me I must ship the phone to Asus China for repairs. I am wondering if there is someone who experienced a similar issue with their phones and they did have it repaired at a repair centre other than Asus repair centre and what components were repaired

Have you tried both ports?
Tried new cable and charger?
You should be able to charge while the screen is off. If you had no battery juice, leave it on charge switched off for at least 20 minutes.

I tried both ports and nothing happened. even left it overnight for charging still nothing

Try holding power button and volume up button. This should restart your phone if your is on and facing black screen with no response.
If this doesn't work, I am afraid you need to visit service centre.
