Some apps take forever to load

Hey there! I just got my ROG 9 Pro in today and it's almost all set up. I just need to put a sim card in. I noticed certain apps take forever to load and upload stuff to (like sending a picture on discord for example) I tried loading ESPN and it won't load either. Is this just because I don't have a sim card or is there something wrong with the phone?

Are you using your wifi? I would recommend checking your network speed.
