Whenever I play games like Genshin, WuWa, or Minecraft at 185 FPS, and more, my temperatures go up to 50°C. The room temperature isn't that high, and the only solution I've found is using a cooler. Are there any other solutions? I’d prefer not to use a cooler, as it's hard to use especially when playing competitive games.

I'm afraid I have the same issue. The worst is the most complex emulator (the new ps3 emulator that was released). It gets too hot.

When I bought the phone in April (2025) the phone had occasional overheatings, but since last update (version 35.1810.1810.381) this became a very serious issue, phone can get very hot even for light use like youtube, and when I leave the phone in charge at 65 Watt, I always find it boiling, I can barely touch the phone without a TPU cover.
I must say temperature outside is 30-35 Degrees, but I have never had these issues on rog phone 3, it's clearly something devs need to solve asap..
I also mention the Wifi 7 is not working since update aswell, it only connects to 6
This was the last chance I was giving to Rog phones, I payed 1150€, and I'm very disappointed by system optimization, I will keep this thing for like 3 years but then I'll buy something else
Right now I don't suggest anyone to waste so much money on this phone, it's just all brand and good aesthetic.. I will keep updated if things change, which I hope..

If you are using the phone at high framerates and pushing the graphics then the phone will heat up, this is normal due to the chip working more.
But you should still be able to use your phone normally.
I do recommend the ROG Chill Case if you haven't seen it yet 🙂

But the point of buying a gaming phone, especially an ROG, is to achieve higher frame rates and better graphics, right? It's ASUS' job to optimize the device and make it worth buying, especially since it's very expensive.
And also, I'm actually planning to buy the Chill Case, but there aren't enough reviews on the internet to convince me to buy it.
