Hello ROG Community,
I'm reaching out today regarding a frustrating and persistent issue I've been experiencing with my ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro. Specifically, the AirTrigger buttons, which were a primary reason behind my decision to purchase this device, have recently started malfunctioning.
Initially, the issue began with the right AirTrigger button. It randomly activated on its own, without any touch input, especially noticeable during gameplay sessions in PUBG Mobile. Recently, this issue has expanded to include the left AirTrigger as well, making it incredibly difficult to enjoy gaming or even rely on the device for consistent performance.
To put things into perspective, I purchased this phone just a few months ago, investing approximately €1260, primarily due to the positive reviews and demonstrations of the AirTrigger functionality I saw on YouTube. Now, facing these malfunctions, my experience has become disappointing and frustrating.
I've attempted all standard troubleshooting methods:
Factory reset
Software updates
AirTrigger calibration
Unfortunately, none of these solutions have resolved the problem.
After researching online, I found mixed feedback from other users, with some suggesting it's a software issue and others suspecting hardware defects. This ambiguity makes it challenging to pinpoint the exact cause or the most effective solution.
I have already reached out to ASUS support and provided videos documenting these issues, but I would greatly appreciate hearing from fellow users:
Has anyone else experienced similar AirTrigger malfunctions?
Were you able to solve it definitively, and if so, how?
In your experience, is this typically a software-related issue or indicative of a hardware problem?
Your insights would be incredibly valuable. Thank you all in advance for your help and suggestions.

I sincerely hope this does not end up like the Rog phone 5/5s situation, where issues kept arising, the last of which was death of phone. I have one and it wasn't a good experience. Now it's fixed, but airtriggers don't work... Wish you best of luck.

Hello @emanshahrour
I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the AirTriggers.
Could you please share a log recreating your issue? This way the devs can look into this and see what could be causing the issue for you.
**********************
Please follow the below steps to enable the built-in log tool (Bug reporter).
1. Open “Calculator APP”
2. Enter “.19595+=”
3. Select the Log type according to the type of issue you want to capture. “General cases” will work for most issues.
4. After your selection the log tool will exit so you can duplicate the issue or wait for it to happen. Try to use the screen recorder to show your issue when possible. If you can't screen record your issue, then please take a screenshot right after the issue has occurred (as a timestamp) so we know where to look in the log.
5. Navigate back to the log tool via calculator and Tap "FINISH AND SHARE".
6. It takes several minutes for the log to generate. You can exit and do other stuff in the meantime. A silent notification will tell you once the process is done. Tap the notification and then the share button to upload the file to Google Drive and share the link with a moderator. Just make sure to change the permission first so that everyone with the link has permission to view it.
Note: When you're no longer planning on logging your device, enter “.09595+=” in the calculator and the log tool will stop as well as deleting all stored log files. Make sure to share via calculator. The files found in internal storage -> asus_log are not the correct files (they are only 1.2kb)
