Hi,
ROG Phone 9 Pro - Before the Android 16 update, Android 15 had the Force Desktop Feature available in developer options. This is a regression in capabilities for the device.
While I know that using the Force Desktop Mode feature in the Developer Settings is unsupported and can cause issues (the only issue I noticed is that it might cause the phone to crash while in Android Auto), to me it is an essential feature because secondary touchscreens cannot be used to their full extent without it.
Without this feature, only Screen Mirroring is available, which means that the phone (portrait) orientation will force the landscape display to show in portrait mode, and mobile phone resolutions are very rarely standard, so 16:9 and 16:10 screens which are very common for external displays will always have black bars.
The ROG Phone is a gaming phone and is the No.1 target to use external high quality (HDR, 120Hz+ USB-C) displays with. Please make sure they are properly supported!
Please consider:
1. Fully implementing the new Desktop Mode introduced in Android QPR2.
2. Bring back "Force Desktop Mode" as a hidden feature in Developer Options.
Thanks,
DDRRE

Yep, can't wait for it to return, since I used it a lot. For work also, not just gaming. But my guess is Asus can't do anything about it, it's an Android feature. We need to wait for it to be tested on Pixels or something like that and then maybe they'll add it to everyone else.
