Water resistance with broken back glass on ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition

Hello,
As the topic suggests, I have a ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition, and I'm wondering if a broken back glass affects water resistance or if there is some kind of membrane between the glass and the internal components. Also, after replacing it, would the phone still have an IP68 rating?

There's no membrane.  Whether or not it's water resistant depends on the person who repairs it.  My phone was out for a total of 3 months of warranty work trying to get the back attached properly after it came loose.
