This is normal. Charging lithium batteries become unsafe if they go over 45° Celsius.
Asus phones are regulated to not reach unsafe temperatures.

43C is no problem, but maybe a slower rate would be better. Turn on steady charging or use a less powerful charger.
A 5V 2A charger and a good quality cable are perfect for overnight charging.
Steady charging with a fast charger is a bit nicer because it will finish by the time your morning alarm goes off even if you started charging it late.

Its normal temp for charging but you can reduce it by using steady charge in the settings. The battery will charge slower and it will reduce the heat build up.
