ROG 8 Bug on AirTrigger

Hi,

I've bought a brand new phone but less than 2 weeks there seemed to be a bug on the software, I played it for my CODM and sometimes the airtrigger won't switch off it'll continue spraying bullets until I have to close the whole game and then it would happen again.

I have read some have been fixed when they have their software update but I am on the latest update. Please kindly help advice what needs to get done this is a shocking as I never invested in a gaming phone and yet when it's known to be one of the best simple bug problem like this happen but really hoping there's an actual solution.

The AirTriggers in the ROG Phone 8 are pressure sensitive and can be affected by force applied around the border of the phone.

Here’s a solution for the AirTrigger issue on your new gaming phone:

  1. Recalibrate AirTrigger – Go to Settings > AirTrigger and recalibrate the controls to ensure proper sensitivity and function.
  2. Clear Game Data – In Settings > Apps > Call of Duty Mobile, clear the app's cache and data to reset any game-specific bugs.
  3. Disable AirTrigger Temporarily – Turn off the AirTrigger feature to see if the issue is related to it, then test the game again.
  4. Software Update Check – Even if you're on the latest update, check for any incremental updates or hotfixes for the AirTrigger bug.
  5. Reset the Phone – As a last resort, backup your data and perform a factory reset to eliminate any software-related issues causing the bug.
