Reopen Thread: ROG 8 Battery Drain

From 70% to 40% real quick without playing, Any update regarding this? My Partner's ROG 8 still drains really fast compared to my unit. We could provide logs from the phone if needed for the devs to check. Just give us the instructions and we'll assist so we can have a fix for this on-going issue.

Hello, how are you? The thing about battery draining and heating without being in gaming apps started with the last update .427. I see that restarting several times worked for some like me, in my experience I had to restart only 2 times because the draining was quite noticeable and it got hot even with WhatsApp but after restarting the second time the battery and temperatures improved as they are still a bit strange sometimes

I have my rog phone 8 pro since 2 month. Yesterday evening 60% battery, i disabled anime vision (time controlled in asus app). I see animevision is off. I turn off display.  I sleep 7 hours... Next morning battery 0%.

Newest firmware android 14. 

Have something to do with: if animevision disabled? Because this was the last what i do before i go too sleep (and the first time i disabled animevision with Asus app). Or maybe armourycrate app running in Background?

Try restarting your phone like 4 times(after booting to main screen restart it again) then observe if there's an improvement

Ok i restarted the device 4 times. Now i will check the next 1-2 week if this happens again.

But very strange 2 month no problem.
