No 5G on Mint

I recently purchased a ROG Phone 8 and have switched to Mint mobile. According to Mint and the T-Mobile carrier map, I am supposed to have 5G but all that connects is 4G. What am I missing here?

Unfortunately I got it from Temu and the user manual was in ALL Chinese so my guess is the model they sold me is an Asian model built for the networks over there. At this point I'm just going to deal with 4G. Just buyers beware if you are buying from Temu. I would only buy this from a carrier or the Asus ship itself.

In that case you don't have much 4G either.  It has the simpler radio for China, not the global or US radio.

Yeah but I got it for $685 hard to beat that price so not sure I want to go through the trouble. I suppose I could return it and then just pay full price from Asus but I am thinking of giving this one to my Son when I get something different in the fall.
