Does 8bitdo pro 2 controller work with ROG phone 8 pro screen mapping/key mapping?

Really? the reviews states that Xbox, PlayStation, and switch pro controllers works with it, I even saw someone on Reddit saying that their Shanwan controller works with the built in key mapping on ROG phone 8🤔
