I'm in the US, but I use T-Mobile, not Verizon. I believe with Verizon, only certified devices can be used on their service even if it's BYOD.

However, when I tried to setup a line for BYOD, the ROG Phone 8 wasn't an option after selecting Asus (in fact, only 3 phones were listed, none ROG). Unfortunately, because it isn't certified by Verizon, it's either not going to work or not work fully. You'll need a different phone that's certified by Verizon, or switch to a different service provider if you want to use the ROG Phone 8.
