As this phone is fairly new (22/08/23)
System notifications where staying for a long time at the bottom of the screen. Like screen shots or update messages etc.
They would block out crutial menu options and so forth while using the phone but went away after a few minutes.
I found the Fix in the settings menu:
Accessibility / Timing controls / Time to take action (Accessibility timeout).
Set that to default or very low and the issue should be resolved. Not sure why the phone was shipped with this on max. Very annoying.
