When I was on android 13 before while also using Bluetooth, I noticed my JBL Bluetooth headphones for example, when turned on it pairs right away even if it is a few feet away.

Now on A14 it thinks and I have to sometimes manually click on the headphones in Bluetooth in order to connect to them.

This issue could actually be related to cache, I would recommend deleting the headphones from your list and reconnecting them, please try this and let me know if the issue persists.
