Please tell us some basic information before asking for help:
Model Name: rog 6 16/512
Firmware Version: 32.2810.2208.160
Rooted or not: no
Frequency of Occurrence: 3th time
APP Name & APP Version (If your issue relates to the app): Happening in advertising movie, using chrome browser
In addition to information above, please also provide as much details as you can, e.g., using scenario, what troubleshooting you've already done, screenshot, etc.
========================================
Saw a advertise movie in chrome webbrowser, bass was suddenly at full volume and cracking (sound setting on dynamic, maybe at 30% volume)
Lowering sound didn't help, changing sound profile to , dynamic, movie,game.. didn't help.
Hitting volume to the max, bass dissapeared completly, and had only full treble, hearing every instrument harder/ prioriteitsing.
Its like the soundchip is trying to detect when to give its nice bass sound, it will boost it up to 100% (even on low volume) and when raising the volume at max, the soundchip thinks to balance everything by lowering the bass, the bass is removed, and only full details of instruments, sounds etc goes in full detail on foreground

I don't know. They say it works after a restart, isn't it software then?

I somehow doubt this is a thing. I dont see how replacing the speaker should fix the issue.

Can you please get them notified of this post after new firmware .220??
New update .220... What they did with music/speakers. Fix and new problems
No more bass crackling sounds like a subwoofer signal trough mono speaker!!
But wait???!!!
What they did to fix it.
1. Demped verry high volumes!
2. Bass is gone and added more treble! So get used to plastic bass like the late 90's early 2000 in-ear headphone speakers with walkman with tapes!
3. Those nice deep space special sounds effects that you have with bass is gone!
4. WTF?! When at high volume, if a song goes in higher volume, phone reduce the volume (in background), if it goes lower, the volume goes up again, but goes back down when music has higher frequency/volume.
First i thought it was the song. But after listening to almost 22 songs, and listen back again and again to those pieces in music where it happens, i whas/ No I am sure, that this is a new problem!
They nerved the whole music system/speakers down.
Asus are u kidding me?!

I suspect an association of relatives and neighbors to be behind this new audio design.
The disappearance of the bass is because of the neighbors because it crossed the walls
Lowering the volume is because of the parents' association, it prevents parents from constantly shouting "Turn your music down"

🤣
Consider yourself happy, on the Chinese forum, after the update, no more dirac, the equalizer which returns to flat and more audio effects
Asus R&D at the top😁
