totally agree, better to have less fps but constant, especially when this difference is ridiculously small than big drops, most of them coming at the worst time.
Mediatek is a birthday for me, 10 years ago I bought my first 2 android (WIKO CINK 2.3), and by force of circumstance (bug), I had to add Android development to my already long list to correct the Fix GPS and charge.
For the next one, CINK PEAX, Mediatek had even created an account, github MediaTek Connectivity Open Source Group to provide us with sources without which nothing was possible, I have excellent memories, especially compared to Qualcomm where nothing filters, not even detailed specs.
After a gloomy period without docs, specs, sources, on the occasion of soc dimensity, Médiatek launches the architecture of open resources, it is a fabulous advantage for manufacturers who have a real R&D department which can refine the kernel in depth .
It remains to be seen what ASUS will do with it, but if not, the XDA community will certainly use it.
