Unfortunately this is a hardware issue. I had the same issue before and needed to send to asus service center for repair. I believe the fingerprint reader is also affected by this. Weird thing is that it just started to happen even if you take good care of the phone but some noticed the issue happening after upgrading to Android 13. I had mine sent twice since initial repair and mobo replacement did not fix the issue. Hope you still have warranty and report this to them right away.
