I had the same issue before and despite reinstalling the software to factory issue still persist. Since my unit is still in warranty I reported it to asus and they suggested to send it to the service center and turns out the motherboard needed replacement. I sent the device twice to them since initial board replacement did not fix the issue with the camera. I hope you still have a warranty and report to asus asap.
