I can tell why this issue with loop comes up in update but its to much info for normal people.

It is the" new " Update way with Double Partition.

Its for your safty and coast your Disk Space

And this method make a lot of trouble.

No Partition switch . no Boot. (Android System make it or not)

The result when not is your Bootloop

But for your Update Safty

The switch is for a roll back when update goes broken in install.
